LIV SALON

Lori Lansens to give reading online
By THE CANADIAN PRESS

TORONTO - Canadian author Lori Lansens recently lamented the fact that chronic motion sickness has prevented her from touring to promote her new novel "The Wife's Tale."

But next week, fans can see the California-based author do a live reading - online. The video-streaming event, which will also feature Lansens taking questions from readers, will take place Nov. 3 from 6 to 7 p.m. ET.

Released last month's, "The Wife's Tale" is the story of a morbidly obese Ontario woman whose husband suddenly leaves her.

Lansens also wrote "The Girls," a novel about conjoined twins which shot to international prominence after it was featured on a British talk show.

The author grew up in Chatham, Ont.
