Lil Wayne writing prison memoir

Lil Wayne. (WENN.COM)

Rapper Lil Wayne will open up about his life behind bars in a new prison memoir.

The Lollipop hitmaker walked free from the Rikers Island complex in New York on November 4, 2010 after serving out an eight-month sentence on weapons possession charges dating back to 2007.

Lil Wayne will now revisit the dark experience with the help of his jail house diaries and journals to write Gone Till November.

The book, which will be released in partnership with Grand Central Publishing, will hit stores in November to mark the two-year anniversary of his release.
