American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis is disappointed to have been knocked out of the running to write the movie adaptation of saucy novel 50 Shades Of Grey.
The erotic book by E.L. James has taken the literary world by storm since its release last year and has been picked up by studio bosses to be made into a movie.
Ellis was one of the front runners to land the screenwriting job and even discussed who he would like to see playing the sex-mad lead characters, but he announced on Twitter on Tuesday that he has not been chosen to pen the project.
