Award-winning former porn star Sasha Grey is writing a novel inspired by her adult movie career.

The actress, 24, who quit the porn industry last year after starring in 270 scenes, is currently pursuing a music career as a member of industrial band aTelecine.

She has also starred in Hollywood films including The Girlfriend Experience and thriller I Melt With You, and featured in TV comedy-drama Entourage - and now she is adding writer to her resume after penning her debut novel, The Juliette Society.

Grey tells Britain's Guardian newspaper, "(It is about) the Fight Club of f**king - a young woman's sexual awakening. I'm sharing what I learned, and doing lots research. Lots and lots of research."
