Television and film actor Bryan Cranston, best known for his portrayal of Walter White in hit series "Breaking Bad," is to produce a memoir due for publication in the fall of 2015.

"Walter White taught me a lot -- some of it useful, some of it dangerous," the actor explained. "I want to tell the stories of my life and reveal the secrets and lies that I lived with for six years shooting 'Breaking Bad.'"

Nat Graham of publishing house Scribner described both Cranston and his upcoming memoir as displaying "fierce commitment, intelligence and humor."

Though much of the publicity drive surrounds Cranston's role as a conflicted, increasingly convictable and eventually monstrous meth dealer in AMC's five-season sensation, the actor's experience extends beyond that.

Brought up by his grandparents in Los Angeles County, Cranston's career started with small parts on TV and cinema screens in the early 80s -- which is how he met his wife, Robin Dearden -- well before recognition for his turn as the dad of "Malcolm in the Middle" came in the mid-2000s.
