"True Tori" premiered on Lifetime with all the hype that one might expect of a docu-series based on the cheating scandal surrounding Tori Spelling and her husband, Dean McDermott. But one big question was raised after the show premiered: Did Spelling make the entire story up?

Jezebel posted a well-researched expose arguing that Spelling might have faked the cheating scandal that prompted the Lifetime series. The site argues that the show's timeline doesn't match up to real-life events as chronicled in the press and the couple's own social media accounts; Spelling's relationships with paparazzi and Us Weekly don't make sense; and that the woman who McDermott supposedly slept with, Emily Goodhand, may not even be real.

Lifetime issued a comment to Extra saying that the claims of a faked cheating scandal are "so false."
