Controversial funnyman Andy Dick was ejected from the audience of the live final of Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday night, according to a U.S. report.

The comedian, who was a contestant on the U.S. TV dance show last year, is said to have been removed from the studio by security guards following concerns about his erratic behaviour.

An onlooker tells People.com, "(The guards) told him he had to go, and he said, 'Why? Because I'm drunk?'"

Dick, 48, spent years battling substance abuse issues and endured numerous stints in rehab before vowing to clean up his act for his 2013 run on Dancing With The Stars.

His previous antics include being ejected from an adult entertainment awards ceremony in Las Vegas in 2011 for pestering a porn star and allegedly flashing his genitals in a Los Angeles coffee shop in 2010.

The latest allegation involving Dick was not the only drama to hit the season finale - rapper Iggy Azalea suffered technical troubles during her live performance due to a malfunctioning earpiece.
