if nothing tickled your fancy this year, you're not looking (or listening)in the right places (and you should probably explore more than what's offered on commercial radio). It was hard to reduce my list down to ten but nonetheless here is my top 10 (in no particular order):
1. Junip "Fields"
2. Surfer Blood "Astro Coast"
3. LCD Soundsystem "This Is Happening"
4. Tame Impala "Innerspeaker"
5. Wolf Parade "Expo 86" (a better swan song than LCD Soundsystem's???)
6. The Thermals "Personal Life"
7. Deerhunter "Halcyon Digest"
8. Jim Bryson and the Weakerthans "Falcon Lake Incident"
9. Superchunk "Hermajesty Shredding"
10. Gord Downie "Grand Bounce"
