Wright recovering after foot surgery

Chely Wright. (WENN.COM)

Country star Chely Wright is recovering after undergoing surgery on her foot.

The singer had an operation earlier this week to fix a number of painful conditions, including Morton's neuroma, which is caused by an enlarged nerve in the toes.

Taking to Twitter to explain her surgery, the Single White Female star wrote, "I had the bunion and two Morton's neuromas removed from the right foot. 2 hour surgery."

But the recovery process has been far from smooth - Wright is still feeling immense pain in her foot.

In a tweet on Sunday, she writes, "Super bored with this foot surgery recovery. Can this be over now? Foot is really swollen and very painful. Ugh. Okay, chin up! i will survive."
