Catherine Zeta-Jones has inked a deal to star in the romantic comedy-drama "Mostly Martha," Variety reports.

The story centres on a obssesive, controlling chef whose life is turned upside down when she becomes the guardian of her young niece.

"Shine" helmer Scott Hicks will direct the film.

Zeta-Jones stars with Antonio Banderas in the upcoming "Legend of Zorro," which is out Oct. 28.
