Ving Rhames ("M:I-3"), Mena Suvari ("American Beauty") and Nick Cannon ("Drumline") are rising up to star in the remake of George Romero's cult horror classic "Day of the Dead," Variety reports.
The film is being directed by Steve Miner, whose credits include "Lake Placid and "Halloween H2O."
The original, released in 1985, centred on a group of military personnel and scientists who hunker down in an underground bunker as the world is being overrun by zombies.
