TORONTO (Sun Media) - Michael Buble isn't the only entertainer in the family. Little sister Crystal, 26, stars in the new Canadian indie crime drama “Crossing,” which just opened in some Canadian theatres last week.
"You know what's so funny, people go, 'Oh, now that your brother's doing well, you're doing this,'" Buble told Sun Media.
"Well, I was struggling and she was making good bucks. She was doing tons of TV work and movies and stuff. She had a great movie called ‘Rollercoaster’ that was (at the Toronto) film festival. She's a good actor. Great, great actor. But she had some pretty severe anxiety issues where she didn't want to go outside and stuff. And I have social anxiety as well, but I overcompensate and I hide mine and she couldn't. So she sort of stopped and she got married to a wonderful guy and she sort of wanted to do it but she didn't have the strength and everyone built her up and supported her and we're so happy that she's doing what she should be doing 'cause it really does fill her up. It gives her joy." And his assessment of her performance in “Crossing” as a blackmailing hooker with a heart of gold and photography aspirations?
"I was disturbed a bit in some of it because you don't want to see your sister making out with somebody," he said. "But she's really good in the movie. And, like I said, this is not like a little sister who said, 'Now my brother's doing well, so now I'm going to do this.' There were many years there, no kidding, where I had nothing. I can't tell you how many times people came and said, 'Oh, you're Crystal Buble's brother.' "
