Ex-NHLer had fun filming 'Love Guru'

You have to love Bob Probert for never letting old rivalries die.

The former NHL tough guy has a small role in the new Mike Myers movie The Love Guru, but while Myers is a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan, Probert obviously is not.

"I don't know if you know much about the movie, but the Leafs win the Stanley Cup; obviously it's a fiction movie."

Probert, one of most feared fighters in NHL history, played in the league for a decade and a half.

But it was during his time with the Detroit Red Wings in the late 1980s and early 1990s that he had many memorable run-ins with the rival Leafs.

Perhaps Myers, a product of the Toronto suburb of Scarborough, got some subtle revenge against Probert.

"In The Love Guru, I'm No. 28 on the L.A. Kings," Probert said. "They gave me No. 28 probably to piss me off, because it's (ex-Leafs enforcer Tie) Domi's number.

"Yeah, I heard (Myers is a Leafs fan), but I agreed to do it anyway. It was a lot of fun. And I'm looking forward to doing more of that kind of stuff."
