Harry Potter star Jamie Waylett has been arrested after cops allegedly caught him growing marijuana in his home.

The British actor, who plays Vincent Crabbe in the wizard franchise, was recently stopped by cops in London while he was driving through the city centre with a friend.

The officers allegedly discovered eight bags of cannabis in the vehicle and arrested both men on suspicion of drug possession. They then ordered a raid on the 19-year-old's home in Camden, North London.

Drug squad officers are said to have subsequently discovered ten cannabis plants at the property, worth around $2,900, meaning Waylett now stands accused of production of a Class B drug.

A police spokesman tells British newspaper The Sun, "Both men have been bailed until July pending further enquiries and tests on the substances."
