Director Ivan Reitman has confirmed he will be leading the Ghostbusters back to the big screen when the upcoming sequel starts shooting this year.
Original stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson are returning to film a third movie - 21 years after Ghostbusters II hit cinemas in 1989.
Reitman, who directed the first two films, has now completed the line-up by revealing he's not only developing the script for the next installment, he's also signed up to helm the picture as well.
He tells MTV.com, "I hope to start shooting it this next year."
Ghostbusters III is scheduled for a 2012 release.
