Avatar director James Cameron has given Bollywood a global boost after agreeing to front a new cinema seminar in New Delhi, India.
The celebrated moviemaker will join Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan and journalists at the Future of Cinema gala at the Taj Palace Hotel on March 13, where the celebrity panel will discuss filmmaking.
And his visit to India has thrilled the nation's film experts, who hope Cameron will be inspired by India's rich culture on his first trip to the country, and include actors and religious themes in his next blockbuster - perhaps the Avatar sequel.
Acclaimed Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed hopes Cameron brings Bollywood and Hollywood together after his trip to his homeland.
He tells WENN, "We urge Cameron to explore many finer and deeper things India - it's the planet’s most multidimensional country with the fastest-growing economy and the largest democracy.
"We have snowcapped mountains, palm-fringed and sun-washed beaches, glorious temples, colourful festivals, a rich philosophy and spirituality, abundant historical sites, wildlife safaris, historic trade routes, cultural wealth." (KL/WN/IG)
