Natalie Portman has been offered the chance to replace Angelina Jolie in space survival movie Gravity alongside Robert Downey Jr.
The Tomb Raider star recently pulled out of the upcoming $80 million 3D movie and reports suggest producers are now eyeing Portman after previously considering Blake Lively and Scarlett Johansson for the coveted role.
If Portman signs on, she will play a woman stranded on a space station after a crash kills the rest of her crew.
Downey, Jr. has committed to a supporting role, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Gravity is scheduled to begin shooting in January, before the Iron Man actor is scheduled to film other projects.
