Emma Watson burst into tears when she was approached by autograph hunters on her first day at America's Brown University - because she wanted to be treated like all the other students.
The Harry Potter star moved from her native Britain to the U.S. last year to enrol in an English Literature course at Rhode Island's prestigious college.
The actress was determined to keep a low-profile on campus - and was left so upset by fellow students asking her for her autograph, she began crying on her first day of studies.
She tells Britain's Sunday Mirror, "Everyone looked at me, like, 'Oh my God, what's wrong with her?' I just said, 'I'm really sorry, but I just want to be as student. Would it be OK if I don't sign, because you'll be seeing me around all the time anyway.'"
