KIDMAN

Choose the best movie franchise
The greatest movie blockbusters go head-to-head in our online poll
By Mark Daniell, QMI Agency

When you head down to the multiplex, you’re usually greeted by sequels, prequels, big egos and even bigger budgets. And while it’s cool to sometimes rag on the by-the-number plot points, there is something fun about revisiting familiar characters and storylines. It’s like an old high school pal you only see every now and then.

But with the Amazing Spider-Man reboot and the release of The Dark Knight Rises – Christopher Nolan’s final instalment in his lauded Batman series – we decided to let you choose your favourite movie franchise of all time.

And we are promising a celluloid bloodbath: 32 film franchises and only one winner. Starting today and ending on July 18, you will decide which series stands heads above the others. Did the fourth Indy permanently sour the franchise? Was Hangover 2 so bad it made you question why you liked the first one? Are you hoping Arnie 'Will be back'?

It will be your votes that'll do the talking. So take our survey and let us know what you think in the comments. Round one starts today and goes until this Friday.

Oh, and while we're talking best movie franchises, take a moment and let us know which series you'd most like to see a sequel for.

Ding, ding.
