Actor/moviemaker Eli Roth has confirmed reports he's in negotiations to direct Russell Crowe as Dracula.

The Hostel director has been slated to take charge of blockbuster Harker, which chronicles a top London detective's hunt for the blood-sucking vampire legend.

The title character has yet to be cast.

If Roth signs on, it won't be the first time he and Crowe have worked together - the Inglorious Basterds star wrote the script for rapper RZA's directorial debut The Man With The Iron Fists, which features Crowe.

Spanish director Jaume Collet-Serra originally signed on to direct Harker, according to Deadline.com, but scheduling issues forced him to step aside.
