Robert Pattinson is grateful for the well wishes of his fans amid the storm over his personal problems, calling their concern "sweet."
The British star hit headlines last month when his Twilight co-star and girlfriend Kristen Stewart confessed to an "indiscretion" with married director Rupert Sanders behind Pattinson's back.
The news sparked an outpouring of emotion from fans of the hit movie franchise, and Pattinson has now revealed he is happy to have their support.
He tells Time magazine, "I guess if people think they're worried about you, it's sweet. It's kind of odd... But at the same time, the world is a pretty cruel place, so whatever inspires people to suddenly feel this kindness, hopefully they'll look at themselves and they'll look at their own lives and realise, 'I have the ability to - to empathise with people!... Hey, I've learned something!'"
