Our action-hero showdown ends, appropriately, with Arnold Schwarzenegger stepping into the ring against Sylvester Stallone.

It’ll be the Terminator-turned-politician versus Sly, the old bruiser who never quit (We’ll pretend “Rhinestone,” “Oscar” and “Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot” never happened).

Sure, there have been some duds. After “True Lies” in the mid-90s, Arnie starred in a series of clunkers that stretched from 1996 to 2002: “Eraser,” “Jingle All The Way,” “End of Days,” “The 6th Day” and “Collateral Damage.” Still, you can’t argue the action brilliance of the “Terminator” films, “Commando,” “Red Heat,” “Total Recall” and “Raw Deal.”

Similarly, after “Rambo” and “Rocky” in the ‘80s, Sylvester Stallone also hit the skids in the mid-90s with a string of duds that went from 1994 to 2006: “The Specialist,” “Assassins,” “Cop Land,” “Get Carter” and “Driven” gave way to straight-to-DVD films “D-Tox” and “Avenging Angelo.”

It wasn’t until Stallone resurrected “Rocky” (2006) and “Rambo” (2008) that he regained some semblance of popularity. His work on “The Expendables” in 2010 cemented his return.

Along the way to our finals, Stallone beat Wesley Snipes, Kate Beckinsale and Harrison Ford; Schwarzenegger stomped The Rock, Bruce Willis and Jason Statham.

So, without further adieu, we bring you our final match: Arnold Schwarzenegger vs. Sylvester Stallone.

Watch the highlight reel below, dust off your old VHS tapes and vote in today’s poll. Voting for the finals ends Monday at 10 a.m.
