Horror villain scrapfest: Round 4
By BRIAN BAKER, QMI Agency

We're now down to a four-pack of fearsome predators.

There are two weeks until All Hallow’s Eve, when all that is evil itches to mingle with the physical world.

And our horror villains are letting the bodies pile up as they get closer to the final battle.

Scroll down below to our Round 3 review and pick the final two villains who will duke it out for horror villain supremacy.

Michael Myers vs. Xenomorphs

It seems reality plays a big factor in why 56.47% of fans picked Michael Myers as the more terrifying of the two. But it was no easy contest for the strong, yet silent slasher.

Comments:

“Michael Myers hands down. The xenomorph is scary looking, but ultimately it is not real — never could be — therefore not a real threat. M.M. on the other hand could be living next door right now!”

“Fear of the unknown vs. fear of the remotely known wins ... but this was a close one”

“A large, mute with a butcher knife against large bi-pedal aliens with a lethal inner set of jaws and super-acidic blood? This isn't even a contest.”

Jason Voorhees vs. Leatherface

Fans spoke in hordes, giving good ol’ Jason from Camp Crystal Lake 74.54% (2,289) of the vote. He sliced Leatherface up, ‘Good and thick’, as the Texan cannibal would say.

Comments:

“The fact that Leatherface takes a face off of a person and then wears it around while chasing their friends and loved ones just adds insult to injury.”

“This is a good matchup, but Jason is a legend and never dies.”

“Jason can't be killed, Leatherface is human. It would be a good fight but Jason would win.”

Count Dracula vs. Hannibal Lecter

The last of the Universal Studios legends couldn’t hold a candle to the voracious appetite that lies within Hannibal Lecter. Almost 2,000 votes were thrown at the Red Dragon, giving him 61.82% of the vote.

Comments:

“By the time Dracula finished one of his famous monologues Hannibal would have consumed him.”

“Hannibal: So intelligent, so insane.”

“Dracula's strength would prevail over Hannibal's intelligence — mortal versus immortal — no contest.”

Freddy Krueger vs. The Werewolf

According to Sun readers the werewolf is all bark and no bite when it comes to a one-on-one scrap with Freddy Krueger. The Lord of Nightmares won by the largest margin this round, pulling in 83.64% (2,571) of the votes.

Comments:

“Even werewolves have to sleep.”

“Freddy Krueger because he can kill you in your dreams and there is little you can do about it!”

“Werewolves typically only shift with the full moon. Freddy can come at you night-after-night –after-night. He has the upper ... glove.”
