Actors from The Twilight Saga say the darndest things. Here are highlights from conversations with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and friends, such as Michael Sheen:
Lautner on first meeting Stewart and Pattinson on set: "I remember meeting Kristen Stewart for sure. It's so weird, I don't remember meeting Rob. I didn't even have any scenes with Rob in the first one." Lautner also felt awkward, even with Stewart. "I was barging in. I was nervous and I was also the youngest. It actually was a little awkward when we did meet each other."
Stewart on the superpower she covets: "I'd love to be able to run really fast." But, asked if she would like to live forever, Stewart bluntly says: "No!"
Pattinson on defying Hollywood convention because he enjoys scenes with kids and animals: "Because it makes you feel that you're not acting. Especially with a baby, it's great. I would say: 'Put a baby in every scene.' It's like putting a dog in every scene. And they (actors) will be better. And, if you're not better, just shoot the dog." When I ask which way he means "shoot" -- with gun or camera -- Pattinson jokes: "Either way!"
Stewart on doing stunts, especially in a big battle scene in Part 2: "I broke my thumb maybe the first or second day of our really actiony-type stuff. But it was fun. I got a little taste of it when we were in Italy. Physicality was so important then and it finally became important again. What can I say? I had been on the sidelines for so long just itching (to go). So I was busting to do it, which is why I think I broke my thumb. I was a little overzealous."
Pattinson, while shooting Part 1 and Part 2 together, wrapping the entire saga with a tropical beach scene: "It was hilarious considering we spent the entire series filming in the most miserable conditions, and then we end on a beach in the Caribbean filming for two days on the sea. It was fun. We literally did the last shot as the sun was coming up in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands."
Sheen on shooting his Twilight movies among "the beautiful people" such as Stewart, Pattinson and Ashley Greene: "There's nothing like being around Rob and Kristen and Ashley and everyone to make you feel like an old, fat Welshman!"
