Our video game to movie dream list
By Steve Tilley, QMI Agency
Are video game movies about to come of age? While flicks like Wreck-It Ralph and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World have wrapped their stories around video game pop culture, movies adapted directly from our joystick-jigglin' digital diversions still tend to range from mediocre to outright awful. There's hope on the horizon, however. The movie production arm of video game giant Ubisoft has two game-based films in the works with talented stars attached - Assassin's Creed, with Michael Fassbender (Prometheus) as the titular time-hopping hitman, and Splinter Cell, starring Tom Hardy (Inception) as super-spy Sam Fisher.
