Troubled funnyman Katt Williams was picked up by cops at a gas station on Friday, a day after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The comedian became a wanted man on Thursday when officials at the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department demanded he was taken into custody following a police chase in the California city last month, when he allegedly rode a three-wheeled motorcycle on the sidewalk before speeding off.
Williams was detained on Friday when police officers spotted him at a service stop in Dunnigan, California.
He reportedly missed a stand-up gig in Houston, Texas that night, while another show in New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday was also cancelled, according to TMZ.com.
The scrapped shows came just days after Williams announced he was quitting stand-up comedy and cutting short his current U.S. tour, a claim his representative subsequently dismissed, insisting the embattled star was not serious about hanging up his microphone and would continue his live gigs as scheduled.
Williams has been a regular in the headlines in recent weeks amid a series of legal woes, including an arrest in November on suspicion of battery at a sports bar, and another brush with cops last week for his alleged involvement in a bar fight in Seattle, Washington.
