My most memorable interview moment of the year came at the Clint Eastwood press conference in Los Angeles for the dud baseball flick Trouble With The Curve.
Clint had just interviewed an empty chair at the Republican convention, but no one seemed to want to ask about it, lest they upset the studio reps.
Frustrated, I piped up five minutes before the end to ask about his thoughts that night (to audible groans from the PR people). Another Canadian, Reuters' Zorianna Kit, had a follow-up.
Oh, Canada. The breach of etiquette was reported on by online outlets like Movieline. We had become the story.
