Short of reciting a mantra, Jessica Chastain is doing her best to keep calm.
"I hope I have a voice tonight," says Chastain, who's been juggling interviews for Kathryn Bigelow's hunt-for-bin-Laden movie Zero Dark Thirty with her Broadway role in the Tony-winning The Heiress.
"My character has a big breakdown in the middle of the play. So these days I'm trying to have as calm a day life as possible, because I know in a few hours, I'm going to be crying onstage."
There is almost no way to describe 2012 as Jessica Chastain's year without understatement.
As the year began, she was in Toronto filming the Guillermo del Toro-produced horror film Mama, and flying back and forth on the Oscar trail for her nominated role in The Help.
A year later, she's again at the centre of Oscar buzz for Zero Dark Thirty.
