The Avengers has been voted the most overrated movie of 2012 in a new Los Angeles Times poll.
Joss Whedon’s star-studded action blockbuster was the highest-grossing film globally last year, but film fans in L.A. were far from impressed.
The movie grabbed 85% of the votes to ’win’ the contest by a landslide. Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus” comes in second place with 5%.
In a related survey, Times readers voted Jack Black’s movie “Bernie” the most underappreciated film of 2012.
