Jim Slotek seems to think Jodie Foster threw away a lifetime of 'privacy' in her Golden Globes speech and wound up as TMZ fodder as a result.
Rubbish. It's not Foster's fault that her speech was boiled down to comments on her orientation.
Far more intimate in that Golden Globes' speech were the things she said about age, about her children and about the isolation of a life led under the radar.
But that's not what the media want to focus on.
What it must have taken for Foster to keep a career while maintaining her privacy and that of her children is about as Herculean as it gets in the realms of contemporary celebrity.
