Casting issues never end. Here are five dodgy-sounding casting possibilities that have crossed our desk lately, and you should know about them, too. Why? Because misery loves company, that's why.
1) Brad Pitt as Pontius Pilate.
The Bible gets updated to show Pilate's life, following him from his youth as a sensitive lad to his adult life as governor of Judea, where he attempts to keep order. And makes poor decisions, like, ordering the crucifixion of Christ. Darn it, Pontius! Mike Fleming Jr. of Deadline Hollywood got his hands on the screenplay by Vera Blasi, and says it's, "Almost like a biblical-era Twilight Zone episode in which a proud, capable Roman soldier gets in way over his head.
