Sometime in 2015, I'm going to be sitting in a movie theatre somewhere -- a theatre equipped with UberIMAX 4D Surround Smellovision, I suspect -- and the lights will go down. The words, "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away" will appear, John Williams' Star Wars theme will begin blasting, and that golden logo I've known since 1977 will leap onto the screen. And my inner child will squeal with delight.
What happens after that moment is anybody's guess. I know the movie will be called Star Wars: Episode VII, though that certainly won't be its full title. I know it will be directed by J. J. Abrams (Star Trek, Mission: Impossible III) and written by Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine, Toy Story 3), though I have no idea who the main characters will be or at what point in the Star Wars timeline the story will be set.
