Actually, make that gangster warfare: there are going to be two, and possibly three biopics of Irish American mobster Whitey Bulger, Boston's finest bad guy.
We've got a bad feeling about this.
The most recently announced version will be directed by Barry Levinson and star Johnny Depp as Bulger.
The other Bulger biopic being talked about is said to be a Ben Affleck-directed movie starring Matt Damon. And weren't there Daniel Day Lewis rumours about this role a few years ago?
