With the 85th Academy Awards just days away, it's bedlam in front of the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Recent rain delayed the rolling out of the red carpet by 12 hours. Every minute counts before the film world's big party.
This is the 12th year that the ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theatre, which was known as the Kodak Theatre until last year. Because of financial setbacks at Kodak, the prestigious 3,300-seat hall was re-baptized.
The name change actually took effect just prior to last year's Oscars but they couldn't get the signs down quickly enough.
This year, a plastic tent has been erected above Hollywood Boulevard in case of bad weather, but the forecast calls for sunshine in L.A. on Sunday.
The stands are already in place and 700 fans will create the ambience, however contrived. Signs will be held up at opportune times on Sunday to tell them when to applaud and when to scream.
