Actress/singer Selena Gomez helped her father get back in the dating game after he split from her mom by accompanying him to sports bar Hooters to pick up girls.
The former Wizards of Waverly Place star’s dad Ricardo split from Gomez’s mother Amanda when she was five, and on their evenings out he would take the youngster to the popular restaurant chain, famous for its attractive, often busty waitresses, in a bid to earn bonus points with the ladies.
The 20 year old tells Harper’s Bazaar, “When I was seven, my dad would go to Hooters to watch (San Antonio) Spurs (basketball) games. But he started noticing that when I would come, with my little pigtails, all the waitresses would be like, ’Hey!’
“So he ended up half spending time with me but with all those cute girls (were) coming over. And that became our thing.”
