Best:

1.) Pharrell's dance number with the stars

Pharrell Williams certainly started the night off happy, pulling fellow Oscar nominees into his routine as he performed his Oscar nominated original song, "Happy." Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, and Jennifer Lawrence all shook and shimmied for a couple of seconds with the singer, making it the hippest Oscars yet.

2.) Benedict Cumberbatch perfects the photo bomb

Benedict Cumberbatch understands the beauty of photo bomb art, and as a conaisseur of the culture, decided to leave his mark by photo bombing U2. You didn't let us down, Cumberbatch. As your people say, 'twas brilliant. Best supporting actor winner Jared Leto was a close second.

3.) Ellen Degeneres takes a selfie, destroys Twitter

Ellen Degeneres didn't just kill it as host of this year's Oscars, but she also shattered Twitter records with one of the fastest, most retweeted selfies in Twitter history. From Brad Pitt to Meryl Streep, almost everyone in the first two rows made a dash for the cam.

4.) Ellen orders pizza for the Oscar attendees...and collects the money using Pharrell's RCMP hat.

Ellen delivers pizza to the stars: Okay, she didn’t deliver it, a delivery man did. But she handed out slices. Leo DiCaprio declined a piece, but Jared Leto happily took one.

She then proceeded to collect the money for the pizza with Pharrell's hat. Quick thinking, Ellen!

5.) Lupita Nyong'o's powerful speech...which drove Benedict Cumberbatch and Chiwetel Ejiofor to tears

6.) Bill Murray gives a shout out to the late Harold Ramis

Bill Murray has been loved on the internet since its birth, but his brief moment on stage at the Oscars cemented that he was a stand up guy. While presenting an award for Best Cinematography, he took a moment to acknowledge his late friend and co-star, Harold Ramis. Stay classy, Murray.

Worst:

1.)Kim Novak's odd presentation speech

Kim Novak used to be a woman of elegance, full of spirit and poise. Now, she's a woman full of spontaneous spirit that doesn't go over well with anyone. Better luck next time, Novak. If you get invited back, that is.

2.) Ellen calls Liza Minelli a man

Her blue jumpsuit and hair streak put the F in frump. But when host Ellen DeGeneres called her “one of the most amazing Liza Minnelli impersonators I have ever seen in my life” and then added, “Good job, sir,” Minnelli didn’t look too impressed (at 2:51 mark).

Even when Ellen tried to smooth the situation out, Liza was not impressed.

3.) Cory Monteith doesn't make the televised memorial cut

The annual I See Dead People segment’s biggest snubs:Cory Monteith and Tom Clancy.

4.) Jared Leto's oddball acceptance speech

“To all the dreamers out there around the world watching this tonight, in places like the Ukraine and Venezuela, I want to say ‘we are here.’” Er, okay Jared.

5.) Will Smith sweeps the Razzies, presents Best Picture

Will Smith has had one of the worst years of film, sweeping the Razzies just to prove it, but the he was the first man in the Academy's mind when they were looking for someone to present the Best Picture award. Easily the most prestigious award of the night, it does seem a little odd that it's coming from the man behind After Earth, but hey, what do we know.

6)It's Penelope Cruz, not Salma Hayek

Sure, they both speak Spanish, but to the person working the Academy Awards official Instagram page, they were the same perosn. It was Penelope Cruz backstage with Robert De Niro, not Salma Hayek.

Salma Hayek? Don't think so.

7.) John Travolta massacres Idina Menzel's name

John Travolta, a member of the academy, was given the task of introducing Idina Menzel to the stage, to perform the Oscar winning original song Let it Go from Frozen. Instead, Travolta gave a version of that name we're sure still unsure of. Nice try, bud.
