Did Steven Spielberg really hunt and kill a dinosaur? No, Internet. He did not.

A photo of the Jurassic Park director on the set of his 1993 blockbuster posing with an animatronic triceratops was posted to Facebook to satirize the ongoing controversy of Texas cheerleader Kendall Jones' posing with her hunting pictures that were recently pulled from Facebook.

It was posted with this caption: “Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man.”

And, of course, the Internet went insane.

Commenters bit as the image was shared more than 35,000 times.

"I don’t care who he is, he should not have shot that animal," wrote one.

“That's disgusting. killing an innocent animal!” wrote another.

Others not only got the joke, they got in on shaming of others who didn't.

“Such cruelty against such a beautiful, beautiful creature... I'm so upset, I can hardly choke down my velociraptor steak,” wrote one poster.
