Malin Akerman probably isn't the first person who ever went to Bora Bora and found herself in a love triangle.

And sure enough, while co-starring as Vince Vaughn's wife in Couples Retreat, it didn't take long before she spotted the sparks flying between Vaughn and his old Swingers cohort Jon Favreau.

"In track and field, you never put in people slower next to you -- you always put in people faster. The reasoning behind that is that you then challenge yourself to be faster. It was same on the set with Vince and Jon -- it was a big challenge to keep up. It wasn't easy. They know how to play off each other because they've been doing it so long," says Akerman, whose comedic credits include The Heartbreak Kid, 27 Dresses and The Proposal.

"Watching them, it's amazing. You almost forget you're in the scene because you're sitting there watching a great show. Then you think, 'Hey, I've got to get in there.' But they were always like, 'Hey Malin, throw this in.' They wanted everyone to shine."

Before you feel too sorry for the Swedish-born, Canadian-raised Akerman, though, remember: She was in a tropical paradise making a movie.

"It was three months of craziness and improv -- there wasn't a moment where there wasn't a joke. It was like partying the whole time with high school buddies."
