TV sitcom headliners Tim Allen ("Home Improvement") and George Lopez ("George Lopez") will join forces to star in the big-screen comedy "Amigos," Variety reports.

The film will showcase the comedic duo as mismatched in-laws who have to raise their grandson.

Allen's current film "The Shaggy Dog" has grossed more than $60 million since its release last month, while Lopez, in addition his work on the fifth season of his ABC sitcom, will also begin work on the comedy "The Richest Man in the World."
