HOLLYWOOD -- Hollywood's favourite fallen angel, Drew Barrymore, is looking to regain her wings.

Barrymore plans to produce and star in a big-screen version of the hit TV series Charlie's Angels.

"We're developing three new characters, but we'll pay homage to the original ones," says Barrymore.

"What excites me about Charlie's Angels is that it's one of those rare projects where girls get to do what men usually do in film, but they still retain their femininity.

"It's very much in the early planning stages. I haven't even talked to people about being my co-stars."
