HOLLYWOOD -- Charlie's new Angels are going to fly through the air with the greatest of ease.
Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, who play the crime fighting trio in the big screen version of Charlie's Angels, will deal out justice using brains, beauty and martial arts.
"We've brought in the men from Hong Kong who worked with Keanu Reeves in the Matrix to coach Drew, Cameron and Lucy in wire work," explains Charlie's Angels executive producer Jenno Topping.
"Because the girls won't be using weapons of any kind, we wanted to make the fight sequences as much fun and exciting as possible."
Just because Bill Murray finally agreed to play the Angel's assignment man John Bosley, doesn't mean the producer always knows where to find the elusive comedian.
"Bill doesn't exactly disappear on us. He just sometimes happens to be at a different place than we expect him to be.
"When he's on set, he's hysterical," says Topping.
"We shot a scene recently in which he is going crazy in a cell where he's being held hostage. Bill improvized the entire scene.
"No one could keep a straight face."
John Forsythe, who supplied the voice of Charlie in the original series, will do the same for the film, which now has a late fall release.
MINNIE'S MINI OUTFITS
As Minnie Driver has learned, it's clothes that make the headlines.
Last year, Driver's revealing outfit was the talk of Oscar night.
"I didn't even go to the Oscars last year," explains Driver.
"Someone took a photo of me going to an Oscar party and it made it in with all the red carpet photos.
"I won't be going to the Oscars this year, but I'll be going to a party, so my dress will probably make it into the Oscar coverage."
Watch for Driver on the arm of her current beau Josh Brolin, whose new stepmother is Barbra Streisand.
NAKED CAME THE BONGO PLAYER
Sandra Bullock admits she was shocked when she learned her former beau Matthew McConaughey had been charged in Austin, Tex., last year for resisting arrest.
"It freaked me out because Matthew isn't the kind of guy to get out of hand, but when I learned what happened, I understood perfectly," says Bullock.
Last October, McConaughey was arrested after neighbours complained of loud music coming from his home.
The police who answered the call found McConaughey dancing naked and playing the bongos.
"Apparently Matthew refused to put his clothes back on because it was his house and he didn't feel the police had the right to tell him how to dress or not to dress.
"Matthew looks gorgeous naked," Bullock explains.
"He should be naked as much as possible until things start falling."
McConaughey stars this summer in the submarine drama U-571. Next up for Bullock is the rehab comedy 28 Days, which opens April 14.
