Billy Bob Thornton and Kate Beckinsale are in final talks to team up for the thriller "Fade Out," Variety reports.

Thornton would play a screenwriter with schizophrenia, while Beckinsale would tackle the role of his wife.

The film, which is being directed by Michael Cristofer ("Original Sin"), will begin production on June 28 in Nova Scotia.
