Kate Beckinsale will join the cast of the drama "Winged Creatures."

Variety.com reports the "Underworld" actress will star alongside Forest Whitaker (nominated for Best Actor at this year's Academy Awards for his portrayal of Idi Amin in "The Last King of Scotland"), Guy Pearce ("Ravenous") and Dakota Fanning ("Hounddog").

Rowan Woods ("Little Fish") is set to direct and Robert Salerno ("21 Grams") will produce.

The story revolves around survivors a brutal restaurant murder who try to understand their own mortality.

Production is set to being March 19.
