Actress Selma Blair ("Hellboy") will star in the indie flick "The Listening Party," Production Weekly reports.

Director Jason Chuldenko ("Fake Stacy") will helm the film that deals with the intimacy of ex's and follows the rise and fall of Doyle, a musician who's commercial success leads to his self-destruction.

Filming is expected to begin in early August in Los Angeles.

Blair is currently working on the sequel to big-screen adaptation of the comic book, "Hellboy."
