Brando started 'Scary Movie 2' but couldn't finish
By JAM! Movies

Marlon Brando, who joined the cast of "Scary Movie 2" before quickly exiting the production for health reasons, did indeed complete a day of work on the film, The New York Post reports.

Brando attempted to perform his cameo as a priest in an "Exorcist" spoof (for which he was to be paid $2 million), but needed an oxygen mask, and the filmmakers decided to send the actor home.

"We didn't want to be responsible for killing the Godfather," writer-star Marlon Wayans told the paper.

Fearing for the actor's health, Wayans and his brother Shawn suggested the legendary actor quit the production and devote himself to recovering from pneumonia.

Brando forfeited his pay cheque, and the Wayans brothers said they considered asking Bill Clinton to portray the priest, before giving James Woods the part.

"The s--t we would have had (Clinton) doing ..." Shawn Wayans told The Post.

"It would have been plenty hilarious though."

The film opens July 4.
