HOLLYWOOD -- Three Jim Carreys would definitely be one too many for Renee Zellweger.

The perky star of such films as Jerry Maguire, A Price Above Rubies and One True Thing vehemently denies the rumors that she has been dating Carrey.

This summer, Zellweger and Carrey filmed the comedy Me, Myself and Irene.

"Jim plays a schizophrenic whose two personalities are in love with my character," explains Zellweger.

"There's no question Jim and I really clicked as actors. He's one of the funniest, most inventive people I've ever worked with.

"We laughed a lot and spent as much time as possible together, but it was always as costars. There was never anything beyond two people working together and getting along fabulously.

"Let me make it as clear as possible. We weren't dating. We aren't dating. But I think he's a great person and great actor."

Zellweger romances Chris O'Donnell in The Bach-elor, which opens Nov. 5.
