Carrey, Burton in talks for Ripley film

Jim Carrey and director Tim Burton are in talks to pair up in the action-adventure "Believe It or Not!," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will follow the exploits of sport cartoonist Robert Ripley as he travels around the world looking for the strange and unusual.

The movie is tentatively scheduled to begin shooting in October for a 2007 release.

Carrey's new film "Fun With Dick and Jane" hits Canadian theatres on December 21.
