George Clooney has got his sights set on a planned movie version of the popular '80s TV show "Magnum, P.I."
Ananova reports the 42-year-old actor is planning to star as the Hawaii-based private investigator, a role made famous by Tom Selleck.
According to IMDb.com, the part is one of three Clooney has wanted to play since he started acting, the other two being Danny Ocean in "Ocean's Eleven" and Hannibal in "The A-Team."
The "Magnum, P.I." film would add to the actor's already long to-do list, which includes a co-producing role on four upcoming movies. These include the thriller "The Jacket" with Adrien Brody and "Ocean's Twelve," in which he'll also repeat his acting role along with the rest of the original cast.
"Ocean's Twelve" is expected to open next December.
