"Friends" alum Courteney Cox has inked a deal to star in an untitled comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The actress will play a Southern socialite in the film, whose daughter's transformation from little princess to street hip-hop dancer at first shatters her world, then gives the two common ground.

Cox will also produce the movie with her husband David Arquette.

Cox will next be seen with Tim Allen in the superhero comedy "Zoom."
