LOS ANGELES -- Russell Crowe a merry man?
The Oscar-winning actor confirms he still hopes to star in a new action-adventure about Robin Hood.
The long-in-development production, entitled Nottingham, had been scheduled to shoot this fall under the direction of Crowe's frequent collaborator Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Alien, American Gangster), but has since been postponed.
"We're taking out time because you don't want to be doing Robin Hood unless you're going to do it really ... well," Crowe says.
How will Crowe compare to such other cinematic Hoods as Errol Flynn?
"There won't be tights because, according to our research, they weren't invented for another 300 years," he says. "I'd like to apologize to Sienna Miller."
Crowe and Kidman to wed?
Is there a wedding in Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman's future?
The 44-year-old star of Gladiator jokes he and the Oscar-winning actress are already planning the marriage of Kidman's new daughter Sunday Rose to his two-year-old son Tennyson.
"Nicole had one look at my younger son Tennyson and said, 'I'm a great believer in arranged marriages. Can we just make a connection between Sunday and Tennyson now?' So Tennyson is already engaged ... Sunday Rose is a beautiful child with beautiful delicate features. It was fun that she brought her around."
Did Crowe -- who calls fatherhood "the most fantastic thing I've ever experienced" -- have any parenting advice for Kidman?
"I'm not going to be giving Nicole advice or things like that. She's already brought up two children," he says, referring to her adopted kids with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
